Wanting to be rid of Xander for good, Cordelia comes to the conclusion that Buffy is the cause of all her problems and makes a wish that Buffy had never come to Sunnydale. A demon grants the wish and Cordelia's world suddenly changes.

Xander: And they burst in, rescuing us, without even knocking? I mean, this is really all their fault.
Buffy: Your logic does not resemble our Earth logic.
Xander: Mine is much more advanced.
Great character development, good dialogue and an good plot.
This episode has been compared to everything from "It'a A Wonderful Life," and "Mirror, Mirror," to "Psycho."
"It'a A Wonderful Life," what would life be like without you in it?
"Mirror, Mirror," parallel realities.
"Psycho" main narrative character is killed off half way through the movie.
While the audience is able to come away with some insight into the characters, at the end of the episode the show hits the reset button with no one remembering anything, except Anya. This seems kind of trite, but it actually winds up working. We get a different perspective on what Sunnydale would have been like, along with the character interactions that comes from it.
Cordelia's thinks her wish will give her peaceful happy outcome, but it only leads to her death. She is convinced that in a world where she never got close to Xander because of Buffy she'll be happy. We're shown that not only is she not happier she's also certainly not better off, being dead and all. It's unfortunate that at the end of the episode Cordelia is no wiser for her troubles, because these events never happened in the Buffyverse.
The other character in this drama is Buffy. In this wish!verse Buffy is a hardened, cold, humorless, battle scarred and battle weary slayer from Cleveland. She's used to fighting alone in this reality, and she's just one more girl in the long line of slayers to be killed that same way. Just like her predecessors. It seems the prophecy is fulfilled in this reality as well; the Master rises and the Slayer dies. But then the Slayer looked dead (on the inside) already when she got to Sunnydale. The Master just granted her her wish - death.
It seems that both Cordy and Buffy got their wish and got dead. Nice symmetry there.

What's My Line? pt. 1

It's "Career Week" at Sunnydale High, and Buffy is faced with the reality that she has no future apart from her destiny as the Slayer. Meanwhile, in order to stop Buffy from interfering in his plans, Spike sends four deadly assassins to ensure the Slayer has no future. Also, a mysterious girl is following Buffy and Angel around, and Xander and Cordelia are trapped in Buffy's house after being attacked by one of the assassins.

BUFFY: A whole week of 'What's My Line?' only I don't get to play.
Good character development, average dialogue and an average plot.
Even Bianca Lawson, the actress paying Kendra, didn't like her accent. Another nitpick, Kendra and her apparent ability to survive asphyxiation. Aircraft holds are not pressurized, despite what Hollywood will have you believe.
Willow and Oz finally meet - having almost done so in previous episodes "Inca Mummy Girl" and "Halloween"
The term "Scooby Gang" is used for the first time.
Willy’s Place is seen for the first time.
Cordelia and Xander kiss.
Despite dialogue in this episode to the effect that the Order of Taraka never calls off an assassination once hired, the next episode, "Ted," reveals Angel to have persuaded the Order to do so.
My views/status of characters;

The Puppet Show

The new principal forces Giles to run Sunnydale High's annual talent show, and Buffy, Willow and Xander have to perform against their will. As if this isn't bad enough, things go further awry when one of the talent show participants is found with her heart removed. Buffy and the gang race against the clock to find the killer, and all the clues point to Morgan and his ventriloquist dummy.

SNYDER: Kids today need discipline. That's an unpopular word these days, 'discipline.' I know Principal Flutie would have said, 'Kids need understanding. Kids are human beings.' That's the kind of woolly-headed liberal thinking that leads to being eaten.
Introduction of Principal Snyder. I quite enjoyed this the first time watching, but loses its novelty after repeated viewings. Its a murder mystery, and when you know the ending it loses its appeal. For first time watching it would pass as good, but I've come to expect more from Buffy.
Cordelia 'sings' the Whitney Houston hit 'The Greatest Love Of All' during the talent show rehearsals. She's so bad, you'd think she's beating a cat with a hot iron.
Yet another of the only eight episodes of the series not to feature at least one vampire. Its interesting to note that four of these eight episodes appear in the first season. That's 1/3 of the episodes for the first season, quite a lot, considering the title of the show.
The end credit sequence, with Buffy, Xander, and Willow has me in stitches every time.
